OLD: second [video/action for Cherrygrove]; backdated to 8/11

[Four days, and Ziva hadn't yet woken up to the dark, stuffy, nearly unbearably hot room that she'd spent the last month in.

She'd finally allowed herself to believe she might be safe--that this might be real.

Of course, just because she'd been suspicious of her circumstances didn't mean she was going to ignore them entirely--Ari was far too aggressive to be left untrained, and if she could handle his human namesake, she could certainly train a dog. By the time the two of them arrived in Cherrygrove, the Houndour was keeping to glares instead of growls. Better. She could deal with that.

She turns on the video feed for one simple reason--she doesn't know if Abby is there, and this seems to be the easiest way to find her. She's still a mess--there's no hairbrush or elastics to be found in Mom's bag so she'd had to make the best of it, and no water between the towns to bathe in. But she's wearing cleaner clothes at least, the trainer outfit she'd found in her bag might be weird and she's pretty sure if Tony were around she'd never hear the end of it--but they're clean and whole.]

Abby, Gus. I am in Cherrygrove.

[Waiting outside the Pokemon Center at that, Ari curled up at her feet and staring at anyone who gets too close, and her Hoothoot Lilit perched on one shoulder.]

Miss David, there should be some kind of general store there... [Ritz is trying for tact, but uh. You look about as bad as Ritz did when her group rolled into Cherrygrove.] Their prices aren't so bad, but Violet City has a better selection of stuff. It's where Kuja, Zidane, and I picked up most of our camping gear.

[Ziva blinks down at the screen--for now, her main concern is seeing Abby, just because...well, it's Abby.]

Alright then, Ziva. [Yeah, she gets Priorities.] It helps, too, if you have larger pokemon to help share the load of gear. My clan back in the place I was before here had wagons, but I end up using Andre as a pack-Gyarados. [This is all stuff Ritz had to figure out this stuff on her own, and she's not going to leave other people to do that. It's the little things. Everyone will tell you what Falkner uses- how many people would say 'getting from Violet to Azalea sucks without a beast of burden'?]

[It doesn't help that despite there being soap included in the given supplies, there's no water in which to bathe between New Bark and Cherrygrove--and Ziva wasn't about to use what drinking water she had to wash with. And no brush, which is especially great if you have thick, curly hair like Ziva does. She knows she looks a mess.]

I do not, but I will manage anyway.

If you travel lighter than Kuja, Zidane and I do, you can probably use your Houndour for that when it evolves. [Seriously, Mathis is huge when compared to Ritz.] And you could always catch a pokemon that evolves into a bigger one. [Ritz and Kuja had the opposite problem- they sort of got stormed on.]

[Mihoshi chose that time to step out of the Pokemon Center with her Teddiursa in her arms, chatting away at the little bear. Unfortunately she really wasn't paying attention to anything around her and ends up tripping over something and goes sprawling in the dirt practically at Ziva's feet.

Almost immediately she starts sniffling as she rights her self and wipes away some dirt and tears. Is she even aware there's someone else there? ...Probably not at the moment.]

[Ziva wasn't too close to the door, but definitely close enough to notice the girl falling. Not close enough to catch her, unfortunately, but...

She does step over and offer a hand to help her up.]

Huh? I guess so...I don't think anything's broken but I think I definitely bruised my knee.

[She sniffles a few more times before taking the offered hand and pulls herself to her feet. For a few moments the blonde in the dirt streaked white shorts and dusty black tanktop seems a little wobbly before she finally catches her balance.

As for the bear, he shakes his head as he sits on the ground for a few more moments and looks from them to the houndour and sighs before getting up and staring to brush himself off.]

Um thanks. I'm sorry I can be a real klutz at times. I'm just happy I didn't fall into anyone. That would have been a little awkward! Oh! I'm Mihoshi and thanks for helping me up!

At least her Houndour isn't growling like he would have a couple days ago. Ziva gives him a hand signal to sit, which he does with a glare and a huff, then she nods to acknowledge the name.]

Do you think so? Bruises can't get infected or anything can they? I mean it would be very painful if they can so maybe I should get it checked out somewhere but um.. I get bruises all the time so I guess I would constantly going in there huh?

[Mihoshi tended to be all sorts of perky. But! That just made things better right? If she could be happy all the time so can everyone else!]

It's nice to meet you Ziva! I've never heard a name like that before. But I really shouldn't be surprised huh? There are all sorts of names out there! I mean there's just as many as there are stars right? Oh! And some stars have names too and planets and even space ships!

[..It's at this time her Teddiursa pats her leg to get her attention. Be thankful Ziva, if he didn't stop her rambling she could continue on for hours. Mihoshi trails off and picks him up to cuddle the bear.]

[Toothless's sudden appearance makes Ziva jump about a mile, flying to her feet and looking--kinda scared, honestly, and defensive. It's gone in a flash, but she's a little jumpy.

Once she recognizes the boy from the 'Gear, though, she relaxes. Somewhat. al;kdsjf you nearly gave her a heart attack.]

[Gus recognizes the "backdrop", and he's heading that way now. Abby wasn't with him at the moment when Ziva arrived, but he figures she'll be there ASAP now that Ziva's announced it. He sent her a text JUST to be sure.

His Ambipom is on one shoulder, Luxray walking at his side. He's coming from the direction of the Pokemart.]

[Ziva hasn't quite had time to get used to Gus's voice yet--she stiffens, only slightly--the only sign she'll let slip that she was startled by his voice before she turns.

Her Houndour's eyes narrow, but he stays at Ziva's side. She's managed to train him pretty well in only a week.]

[Well, it's a good thing she saw you coming, because that lets her brace herself so Abby doesn't just bowl her straight over. Because that would be bad. Ziva's still not about to take for granted that her cracked ribs are healed, and she's not quite as strong now as she usually is.]
