OLD: second [video/action for Cherrygrove]; backdated to 8/11
[Four days, and Ziva hadn't yet woken up to the dark, stuffy, nearly unbearably hot room that she'd spent the last month in.
She'd finally allowed herself to believe she might be safe--that this might be real.
Of course, just because she'd been suspicious of her circumstances didn't mean she was going to ignore them entirely--Ari was far too aggressive to be left untrained, and if she could handle his human namesake, she could certainly train a dog. By the time the two of them arrived in Cherrygrove, the Houndour was keeping to glares instead of growls. Better. She could deal with that.
She turns on the video feed for one simple reason--she doesn't know if Abby is there, and this seems to be the easiest way to find her. She's still a mess--there's no hairbrush or elastics to be found in Mom's bag so she'd had to make the best of it, and no water between the towns to bathe in. But she's wearing cleaner clothes at least, the trainer outfit she'd found in her bag might be weird and she's pretty sure if Tony were around she'd never hear the end of it--but they're clean and whole.]
Abby, Gus. I am in Cherrygrove.
[Waiting outside the Pokemon Center at that, Ari curled up at her feet and staring at anyone who gets too close, and her Hoothoot Lilit perched on one shoulder.]

[Action!]
[And a hulking figure looms in front of her!]
Mun-ee.
[It's Toothless! He remembers her from the 'Gear! And he has some money now. Look at it. He holds it out clasped between two hands like one might an insect they didn't want to escape.]
[Action] \o\
Once she recognizes the boy from the 'Gear, though, she relaxes. Somewhat.
al;kdsjf you nearly gave her a heart attack.]...you found it, I see.
[Action]
[He doesn't seem to notice, though, and her frightened expressions are lost on him-- he simply beams down at her, a sort of happy 'hhhhhhhhh' whine coming out of his throat.]
Mun-ee mun-ee mun-ee-- [HE IS NOW THE CHAMPION OF MONEY. Because he found some.]
Re: [Action]
[Ziva relaxes further, even smiles back a little. It's...kinda cute, really.]
I am glad you found it.
What is your name?
[Action]
Tff--
OOFless!
[He's getting good at this. B)]
[Action]
Toothless?
[Bit of a weird name, isn't it?]
[Action]
Oofless.
[Clasping his hands, he just beams at her.]
[... Also...]
Mun-ee.
[Just in case she didn't catch that the first time.]
[Action]
[She nods at the repeat--she's very proud of you Toothless, yes. Good job.]
I see. Good job.
[She puts a hand flat to her chest.]
I am Ziva.
[Action]
... Sssjjiva?
[He hasn't quite mastered the 'z' sound yet, but at least he knows she's introducing herself.]
[Action]
Although she kinda thinks you're a stupid kid right now.][BUT SHE WILL COACH YOU. You're very close after all.]
Zee-vah.
[...somehow she thinks she's going to regret that. It annoys her when Tony pronounces her name that way, after all.]
[Action]
... Jjjjhhi-vah.
[He wrinkles up his face in a variety of odd ways as he tries to wrap his tongue around the sound.]
[Action]
Too bad she can't give you some of her language skills--before Route, Ziva could speak nine of them.]
Close enough. Very good.
[Action]
[Proud and wild though he might be, the way to a dragon's heart is through flattery. And Toothless is particularly susceptible.]
[Without bothering to ask permission, he promptly sits down next to her-- ... or rather, crouches. Like some kind of gargoyle.]
[Action]
Ziva's Houndour glares at the sudden intrusion of dragon-boy--he was hoping you'd go away after all that was settled. Seems that's not the case.]
You got your fish?
[Action]
[HE IS BIGGER! And also the human likes him. He is clearly the dominant beast in this scenario!]
'S.
Fsh.
[He proceeds to smack his lips soundly.]
Re: [Action]
No, Ari.
[And now she's ignoring him--or at least looks like it anyway.]
You like fish, yes?
[Action]
[He perks up at the 'f' word, though.]
'S!
