OLD: [video/action for travel buddies]

[When the video on Ziva's gear snaps on, she's sitting on the floor, leaning against Vicky, her Arcanine, wrapped up in a thick blanket. She looks tired, vaguely ill, and definitely frustrated.

She hates being sick. And the chill and wet certainly didn't help her still recovering immune system, not when she had gotten re-acclimated to desert weather--it got cold at night, but it was a dry cold, not the kind that settled into your bones and made you feel like you'd never be warm again.

Or that you'd never be warm until a giant fire-breathing tiger-dog decided to act as your personal pillow/space heater, either or.]

What is the best way to recover from a cold?

[Sniffle. :C]

[Ah darnit. She waves a hand.]

What is the difference.

...A duck goes quack and a hen goes cluck?

That is not what I meant...is a mother duck not as protective as a hen?

[Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm]

You know. That's a good question.

[See? Some of these sayings make no sense!

Also as distraction tactics go, this is working fairly well. Ziva looks somewhat pleased, since she basically got a 'you know, you're right' only...with different words. If it were Tony she were talking to, she'd probably preen a bit.]

Besides. I like ducks better than chickens.

Fine then. I'm going to mother duck you right into that bed, young lady.

[This is Kick Ass Abby. She will use ugly methods to get you in that bed, Ziva.]

[That just sounds wrong.]

I am fine here.

[Stubborn Ziva is stubborn.]

You are just going to get worse on the floor. It's colder down there and bad for you. Do you want me to give you all the facts about how it's better in bed? I'm sure I can get up to one hundred.

[Pause.] Or close enough. And I will if you don't get in that bed where you can get better.

[Can you out stubborn a worried Abby?]

It is not colder when there is a giant fire-breathing dog insisting on being a back rest.

[But she will acquiesce with all the touchy attitude of an insulted cat. She's not incredibly pleasant when she's sick, sorry.]

And then you can have the fire-breathing dog in bed with you as a cuddle buddy and be warmer.

[Probably uncomfortably warm, if that other blanket has anything to say about it. And seriously, Abby, a six foot tall Arcanine sharing a full size bed? There's barely any room left for Ziva once Vicky jumps up and settles as close to the headboard as she can manage. This is why Ziva usually makes her sleep on the floor, she's just being really clingy.]

It is just a cold, Abby. I do not need to be coddled.

[Abby is pouting, Ziva. How can you resist this pout? It's her super power of doom.]
