OLD: 4th Wall -- [action/video]

[Ziva is pleased.

Why is Ziva pleased?

Because she had woke up that morning to the familiar shape of her NCIS-issued Sig Sauer sidearm in its usual place under her pillow, and she hadn't realized how much its lack had felt like part of her arm was missing.

She has her sidearm, and though it's cold--she's wearing scarf, thick coat, and the orange knit cap she'd found in her bag that morning to ward off the chill--she's outside on Route 34 taking aim at empty cans of Lemonade and Soda Pop.

Six cracks of the gun led to six holes in six cans, perfectly centered, and said cans flying off the ledge she'd placed them on. Ari the Houndoom is lying nearby in a pile of snow, watching appreciatively.

Beware on the approach. She's quick on the draw and that gun still has six or seven bullets in the magazine.]

[She was a lot younger than you when she started learning to shoot. :C]

So I have heard. It was not around when I was young.

[Even if it was, Ziva wasn't much of one for video games.]

My childhood was also somewhat...unconventional.

[Almost a scary thought. He will stick to shogi and tennis then. She can shoot well enough for the both of them.]

It wasn't so bad, but my little sister liked it more than I did.

[He was more one to wander everywhere, so what is sitting around playing video games forever?]

Having an unconventional childhood sounds like it would make life more interesting. At least somewhat. [A brief pause.] Well, as long as it was still a pleasant childhood.

[His isn't exactly the most normal either, and he wouldn't change it for the world.]

[sorry, our internet was turned off at home. Surprisingly, that doesn't help tagging motivation!]

Mm, it was...pleasant enough, for what it was.

[Aside from shit blowing up and her friends getting killed and her dad either never being around or dropping Ziva and her sister off in the woods as a sort of survival training, y'know. It could've been worse.]
