Mostly the latter. None of the fliers on her team--though large enough to carry someone--know Fly, and she doesn't have the badge to use it.

Therefore...]

I would like to ask a favor of someone with the ability to transport people using Fly. Would someone please pick up a recent arrival from New Bark Town and bring him to Goldenrod City? I will compensate you for your time.
